Is this really how you treat a "Roman Catholic priestess" (whatever that is)/writer for the (Macon) Georgia Informer? Seems kind of crazy.

You're right. They were doing their job. When you watch the video, you can see that she didn't make it easy for them to escort her away and they seemed to have a pretty good hold of her. The video actually makes the Secret Service guys look much better.
